Stage Day FAQ

We do! Upon booking, we send over a video training and planning guide.

These training materials are designed to walk you through each step of the process and ensure you’re fully prepared to speak on stage.

If you’d like to book time to review your messaging before filming, please let us know. These 60 minute sessions are with our creative director, Chris West, and are $1,000.
Yes! We work with the companies below, who both do stellar work.

Let us know if you'd like to hire one of them and we can share their rates and connect you!

We do! We work with a phenomenal local photographer, Ash La Mattino Perlberg. You can view her work with us here.

Let us know if you’d like to be connected with Ash!
Yes, we recommend one outfit each for your stage, story and interview filming (three total). We limit each block to one outfit to ensure everything looks polished and seamless.
Great question. We typically can’t accommodate specific time requests. Stage days include up to ten speakers on three sets, and the best way we’ve found to manage this is to follow a structured schedule.

Please keep your full day free (8:45am - 5:00pm). We’ll send your call times two weeks in advance of filming.
All filming happens in downtown Portland, just a short Uber ride from the recommended hotel.
Interviews and story footage take place right at the hotel. You’ll meet each videographer in the lobby, and they’ll walk you to the filming location.
Stage filming is held in the Grand Ballroom at the Portland Art Museum.
We will send you a detailed schedule with clear locations so you always know where you’re going next.
After filming, most of our clients are either moving directly into a speaker reel edit or want to download their footage.

If you’re moving into an edit, we’ll send your footage directly to the editor. If you’d like to download your footage, we’ll send you a download access link.
We understand that life happens. Here’s how we handle cancellations and reschedules:

30+ Days Before Stage Day
You’ll receive a full refund or have the option to reschedule to the next available Stage Day at no additional cost.

Less Than 30 Days Before Stage Day
You’ll receive a 50% refund. You're welcome to rebook at any future date at the standard rate.

Less Than 7 Days Before Stage Day
Due to commitments to our crew and location partners, we’re unable to offer a refund.

We do make exceptions for emergencies and unforeseen travel disruptions—these are handled on a case-by-case basis and are at the discretion of Video Narrative.

We deeply value our clients and also want to honor our team’s time and resources. Each Stage Day is carefully planned, and your spot reserves our crew and location—whether or not you're able to attend.
